The Sport Thread - For stuff not worthy of a thread of its own

If anything banning them only gives the company more publicity. What happens if a French team end up playing Young Boys?

Quite a lot of the Sky Sports channels seem to have fallen off air with a frozen image, at least on Virgin. Main Event and Sky Sports News work but many others are off, including the red button football streams.

Edit: it's back

Sky Replay also went off air, but it went to a black screen for a few minutes after the picture briefly froze.

Sky Sports Football working here on Sky Q, as I'm watching Hull City Vs the mighty Leeds United on the red button service. Are the red button matches available to watch on Virgin?

They are, seemingly delivered by satellite to Virgin and with additional encoding delays so about 10 seconds behind Radio Leeds FM commentary. Handy as there are no replays or rewind on the red button so you get a heads up to pay attention

Bit of a messy build-up to Wales’ first game in the Women’s Nations League tonight (against Iceland)

MOTD Live begins at 6.30pm on BBC2 Wales before switching to BBC1 Wales at 6.50pm in time for the 7pm kick off.

Despite not having centrally agreed rights deals, the UEFA Women's Nations League looks like it does have universal world feed graphics. The overall branding takes heavy inspiration from the branding of the men's Nations League. (Screengrabs from ARD coverage, which used their own graphics pre-match)

Looks good.

Baffling scheduling from BBC Wales - if they want the match on BBC1 just shift Wales Today to BBC2. 10 minutes build up should be sufficient anyway.
