CBS plans for the Super Bowl unveiled: More seriously they are broadcasting the game in 4K HDR on certain providers.

Not in native 4K HDR though, upscaled from 1080p (although with native HDR support) and standard surround sound (unlike other broadcast partners which now embrace Dolby Atmos); they will also provide a standard SDR feed in the network's main OTA 1080i format:

DIRECTV, Dish, Xfinity, Cox, Verizon Fios, Altice Optimum, DIRECTV Stream, YouTube TV and Fubo have confirmed will air that enhanced 4K feed.

And as part of the pregame coverage, CBS will air an-hour long special which will kick-off the 50th anniversary season of its landmark and pioneering studio program, The NFL Today, which will lead into the four-hour special Super Bowl edition of the show:

As for Spanish-language coverage, TelevisaUnivision will air the broadcast on Univision (in the US) and Canal 5 (in Mexico). Separate announcing teams and production staff will be employed for both countries, with Ramses Sandoval and Guillermo Schutz as play-by-play announcers, Alejandro Berry and Lindsay Casinelli as sideline reporters, and special guest color commentators, Mexican flag football player Diana Flores and Argentine-born former NFL player Martín Gramática for US audiences, and with NFL mainstays Toño de Valdés, Enrique Burak and Pepe Segarra as play-by-play announcers for Mexico, with special guest commentator Emilio Fernando Alonso in the cards to join them, and roving reporters Valeria Marín, Gina Holguín and Alfredo Tame. ViX Premium will stream both coverages for each respective country.

Unlike other CBS-assigned years, ESPN Deportes won't air the Spanish-language feed, but its Latin American sisters will do, with its longtime commentating team of Eduardo Varela, Pablo Viruega and Ciro Procuna announcing the game, with John Sutcliffe working as sideline reporter on scene. Worth noting announcing teams for US Hispanic and Latin American audiences were made separate this season, with Varela, Viruega and Procuna continuing working for Latin American audiences, but with Rebeca Landa and Sergio Dipp now working the booth for the US audiences; both continue to narrate from Mexico City (where the bulk of ESPN's Spanish production is done) and Sutcliffe still does sideline duties for both MNF Spanish teams alongside Katia Castorena.

Even if ESPN doesn't get still Super Bowl rights, the mothership has also enlisted its marquee talk and debate show to move to Las Vegas from next Wednesday. On game day, special editions of NFL Countdown and NFL Primetime will air from Vegas, plus a special edition of SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt, with SVP and Tim Hasselbeck from the show's studio (at ABC News' DC bureau) and Ryan Clark and Louis Riddick from Vegas. International presentations of the game will be announced by MNF's doubleheader team of Dan Orlovsky and Riddick, with ESPN College Football announcer Chris Fowler handling play-by-play duties.
