Looking at it, it started at 4:15 before it was moved after 5pm. You'd hope ITV won't be too badly affected by the change, but the viewing figures do seem to be in a healthier position than they were in the Channel 4 years when the later start was introduced.
And it will be typical luck if this year's race was a sodden race without any portestors getting close with increased security.
As much as I intrdouced his increasing excitement in the second half from a biased standing point, I do have to agree with that. He is the last of the punditry team that would have been around 10-15 years ago, so you would feel it could be or should be off soon. Jonathan hardly features on Scrum V coverage since the reintroduction of their URC coverage, when he was almost an ever present back before they lost the rights to Premier Sports in 2018.
Jonathan will be part of the S4C team this weekend. The ITV programme guide suggests that there will be a four man panel 'studio' team for Wales v. England (Jonny Wilkinson, Lawrence Dallagio from England; Jamie Roberts and Dan Biggar from Wales); I think in previous years one or two of those would have been alongside Martin Bayfield pitchside rather than joining Mark Pougatch. A four man panel does feel a bit overcrowded on paper.
Jonathan did post the below this week. There is many that agree with our position that he wasn't the best on commentary on Saturday, but as ever it is unacceptable that this gets personally directed at the individual in an abusive manner.

A lot of rugby league fans are hoping that he isn't on commentary for their BBC's Super League coverage. However I'm assuming he will be commentating on Castleford v Wigan for them, given it airs on a Six Nations free Saturday.
