Channel 4 are having issues with F1 highlights (guessing it's the ads?) - this rather off-branded slide has popped up:

With the announcer dipping in and out with apologies, but otherwise silent.

Suddenly Formula 1 became unbearably interesting.

I wouldn't say it's off-brand, it fits the newish Channel 4 style.
When it fell off air the other week it was an older sliding blocks caption. Either they've updated it since or it was coming from a different device

I say 'off-brand' as the font text looks like it was typed up with some system font, rather 'designed' by 4Creative. I suppose it does the job for this situ.

The two breakdowns occurred at ad breaks, which suggests an issue with playout of the ads rather than a connectivity issue with the source for F1.
This is the second breakdown:

Better effort than the Countdown breakdown the other day!

Then after a normal goodbye and programme ending, we got 10 minutes of driver interviews (which C4 don't usually show in that form) and another end board.

The F1 highlights are played in to Red Bee as a live source from Timeline in Ealing, where they're edited. I wonder if the breakdown slide was something they'd stuck together just in case, following previous experience of playout being unable to cut away from them.

Watching it live, was a very odd breakdown. Was definitely like C4 were unable to cutaway from the highlights/play the next item.
The first two ad breaks were exactly the same - the breakdown caption for length of the break, the next one they simply fired the next part straight away (not sure why they didn’t do that before? Unsure what to do?).
Just before the second break they seemed to cut to a different feed with no DOG, perhaps in hope it would work via another route but it didn’t so flopped back. A few further blips in next period - switching between routes?
Then was finally fixed but of course they were running 10 mins early, but quite an elegant way of filling the gap playing out some additional content.
All in all, very odd!

Also had a now-outdated version of the 4 logo. It's not a new design Channel 4 came up with, it does look like it's sourced from a third party.
