Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in years. Used to quite regularly do Sky’s business updates when they were still a thing. I think he left Sky in 2016 along with everyone else.

That sounds about right as IIRC he started doing business updates on the old BBC News Channel in early 2017.

Are the BBC still planning to change the on air branding as well as the titles once the merger is fully complete next month?

You've gotta love how the BBC has got all our expectations so low now that a major BBC News rebrand in less than 4 weeks has most of us here on less than tenterhooks.

Previously a place like this would be a urine-flooded feverish excitement-fest.

As it stands I'll be amazed if we get new lower-thirds, astounded with new titles, and am just expecting new presenters and maybe a couple of break aways for UK breaking news per month.

I think that because April is when the fully merged channel properly launches, some here have put two and two together and got five. Fairly understandable, I suppose. It just wouldn't be the TV forum without some baseless speculation.
