No cock ups regarding unveiling the new graphics early, must be hidden away in a secret graphics engine at bbc nbh.
Who has said any new graphics will launch in April?

So no new lower thirds? New music maybe up to date chameleon titles?

Hopefully this is the new theme tune:
youtu.be

What does that say about a channel if it scares fish? Just talk me through that.

No new lower thirds*
No significant music change*
Yes to up to date Chameleon titles**

*That I have seen from pilots
**I've seen new Chameleon style countdowns in pilots (see previous posts) but not new titles. Assume trailers will also be changed to Chameleon style.

Great to hear we’ve got new titles coming. Any clues to the News icon featuring in the titles/countdowns?

Any idea if the new branded programmes will feature on BBC iPlayer, like OS & The Context?

That's weird, no new titles but Chameleon style branding... Does that imply the current 2008 globe titles will be retained, but the Viz generated DOG will be ditched, something along the lines like this?

If that's the case, I think it looks a bit weird... The BBC logo doesn't blend in too well with the red globe...
---

IMO the 2008 globe branding of BBC News is plastered almost everywhere... on the wallpapers in NBH offices and overseas newsrooms, across its platforms whether its the news website or distribution partners website or app... If they decide to introduce a new graphic for its core brand, it's gonna take like ten years to switch them all up...

I kinda admit, I was hoping that the new BBC News channel would feature new titles, since the current presentation (new lower thirds aside) is over 10 years now, or something.

I do hope that they retain the BBC World News version of the countdown music.

I think you should re-read the post you've quoted

So if nothing significant is changing to what we have now, why the need for rehearsals?
