Dosent the new set need more electricity to power the led lights maybe that’s what causing the issues elsewhere in the building.

That was a pretty decent effort to make the bulletin work out of vision and back time so the pre-rec weather started on time to meet the opt point

I thought that - considering the staffing at that time of the morning for the brekky bulletins, amazing effort from Clare and the producer to achieve it, both fitting the story over oov pictures timed for shorter reads and the backtiming. Hats off.

Yesterdays evening bulletin looked like they were having lighting issues some shots dark some shots bright, and poor Phil dropping his microphone, but I guess it’s a temp studio so hopefully all these things can be resolved and soon they will be a nice shiny new studio in HD.

I might be imagining it, but I’m sure for the past week or so the lower thirds on Look North (Leeds) are looking sharper.
The difference between the national HD graphics and Leeds’ upscaled ones was previously marked with Look North’s appearing quite blurry. They now seem to be a lot crisper despite obviously not being in full HD.
I wonder if there has been some HD upgrading work going on in the background, and perhaps the graphics are now being originated in HD. As I say though, perhaps it’s my imagination or I need my eyes testing.

I think it’s the increased resolution tbh by 324 pixels it’s making edges look sharper, the only visible improvement is the chromakey on the weather which used to be terrible.

I’m talking about a change in the past week or so - not compared to before upscaling to HD began.
