The standing desk just looks weird and naff - and the studio itself looks rather empty!

Having the presenters stood behind the desk makes them look like shop assistants in Next. They just need a ‘Please Pay Here’ sign.

Not a fan of the standing desk either. I was hoping that would go when they leave The Nine set.

Hmmmm.... that desk is.... different. If the panels came further down, it wouldn't look so bad. Or it had a curved LED panel like the one in Studio B so it could be used for imagery to make more of a feature of it. Not quite sure why someone at BBC Scotland seems obsessed with viewers seeing presenters' legs.

Is that a cable safety mat I can also see clearly in shot on the far right? With all those weeks out of the studio, I would've thought they could find a better solution or at least make it more hidden. Edit: Looks like it's not there or tidier on some of the shots in the video so perhaps one of the screenshot grabs was taken early in the rehearsal stage.

Apart from that, no real other surprises and confirms that almost everywhere is going to look identical once the project has finished.

The titles are very similar to BBC Newsline, but a massive improvement

It looks like the titles will be similar to the ones used on BBC Newsline.

I like the studio, and will wait to see it on screen.

But if it is as it was seen this evening … the desk … no.

Either just a normal sit down desk like London. Or if it’s to be a taller desk … can it not just look like the one in London, but just taller. Or even better, have the presenters sitting on a stool or something.

Would have been nice to see Electric Friends robot cameras integrated into the studio … maybe in the future.

But as I say, will wait for Monday!

The matching globe with Newsline is nice, the set is such a downgrade from what came before though

They’re pretty much like for like - except shorter.
