The OB looked good, which just shows what you can do with some creative lighting. The background vista during the Starmer interview was better than the view used throughout the rest of the programme.
At least I felt relieved that I wasn't breathless after having to watch LK run the usual 'half marathon' between different presentation positions in NBH-B.

Someone put an old LK theme over the new titles and they worked very well

A good 25-30 seconds of black (with the LK bug) before we had a bit of the News Channel filler, missing the start of the Liz Truss interview.
That's... not great from BBC One. Didn't it used to be the case that a programme with the PM would be Grade One?

Very strange that the news channel filler loop appeared on a BBC One programme on BBC One rather than a fault slide

Presumably besides the chairs and table, the rest of the set elements are made up of whatever BBC Birmingham had lying around

The short breakdown during this morning's programme. The clip is as transmitted on BBC One, which took the BBC News filler, presumably inserted by a BBC News gallery.

Speculation, but as the bug was still on screen the fault may have been between Birmingham and perhaps a gallery in NBH which might have been remotely producing the show. Sometimes in these situations you might give a few more seconds grace than usual to allow the gallery to step in before going to breakdown. But even then it was a very long time, so I can only guess that there must've been something else going on too. An odd one.
