Are they struggling for somebody to do a later then usual shift? I know Peter has covered strikes before.
Seems you were spot on about the reason - the only thing I can’t work out is why we’ve now got Keeley and Amanda willing to do the 6.30. Has something changed within the work to rule?

London had a similar issue in the week when Luxmy Gopal (who is still a Leeds employee I think?) stepped in on the 6.30 one day this week despite the work to rule for the first time since industrial action was announced.

I suspect the BBC are already rescheduling the evening news bulletin at 18:40 to BBC Two.

I noticed tonight's early evening regional bulletin was already dropped as Peter said they were back after the 10pm news yesterday.

Just thinking, if Leeds gets the HD upgrade before Hull, will the Breakfast bulletins be the only times East Yorks/Lincs viewers see their local BBC News bulletins in HD? Also who is backup for when Leeds does get the HD upgrade - would it be Hull, Newcastle or Salford?

Probably Newcastle - they did a combined North East, Cumbria and Yorkshire service one weekend a few months ago when Leeds were having work done which prompted a lot of excitement (and subsequently disappointment) on here that Leeds was about to go HD imminently.

Due to strike action, there's no Look North (Leeds) or Look North (Hull) for the rest of today, instead North West Today is being broadcast at lunchtime, North West Tonight is being broadcast at early evening and BBC London News is being shown in place of the late Look Norths.

Aah a nice fully hd regional news for Yorkshire viewers with fully animated Aston’s, they have it so good over the Pennines.

When the Southern regions merge they get a joint branded bulletin. Why do we get North West Tonight branding? What happened to that North Today title sequence that slipped out during COVID?
