A long shot, but could it have been filmed in BBC Bristol?

Unless, shock horror they hired one from TSW? Although it looks too small compared with the one from That's My Dog

That did cross my mind, but only briefly. The only other footage of 'That's Rich' around was...erm, this (apologies)

Think Plymouth has always had a fairly decent-sized TV studio (or at least, since it was built in 1974 upon the conversion to colour - the initial TV studio was much smaller)

Reminded of how much BBC North East fitted into its small studio at New Bridge Street in Newcastle (previously a lying-in hospital) before they moved to the Pink Palace.

Granted the English regions' output back then went far beyond just news, current affairs and sport.

The description on that clip is doing a lot of heavy lifting isn't it?

Would love to see more of That's Rich (great title by the way) if only for more of the amazing hairstyle of his co presenter. Wow!

It would appear he's still going strong, although the perm has gone...

Incidentally my first thought when I saw him was whether he might have been the inspiration (for the appearance at least) of the character in this Victoria Wood sketch...

...or maybe they just all looked like that back then.

A touch of the Bobby Chariot too.

Looks like one of those old school entertainers who got so far but never quite made it. Now seemingly in Las Vegas. His website, shall we say, bigs up his CV quite a lot

I notice on his about section that he was a writer on The Cut Price Comedy Show, an early TSW production for Channel 4, I think it went out on day 2

A different kind of in-vision on Swedish public broadcaster SVT 2, 1982:

This preceded a German programme on 3D television - hence the glasses (which were now a local museum collection!):

And seemingly related to that was this 3D ident a year later, leading to It Came from Outer Space - it certainly looked like it with the bright yellow!

Yes - very Bobby Chariot. I wonder if he did any warm-up work.

And it’s amazing that with so much showbiz work he’s got time to run a wedding car hire company. Wink
