International News Presentation: Past and Present

(05-09-2023, 01:00 PM)W. Knight Wrote:  Prva TV in Serbia revealed their new symbol, with a new visual identity set to debut across all channels next Monday. Out went the curved numeral in use since 2015, and in came a flatter, sqaurer one with the same red-orange colour palette.
Per the other thread, Prva TV in Serbia will rebrand their news, Vesti (main news) and Jutro (breakfast programme), next week:
youtu.be

Here's a look at the former's new graphics, in a darker shade of red and gold plus flying 3D cubes. It's presumably done in-house, coming from the station's lead graphic designer:

The CGI is on the flashy side - something that would've suited their current symbol better IMO. In comparison, this is their current graphics:

I look forward to what they'll do to the Jutro graphics more, as the current ones have apparently been used for at least 5 years:

I have read the credits at the end of the first edition of the 9 pm bulletin of TV Avisen with the new look, and Steffen Breum's name was missing, suggesting that he was not involved in the making of the new tunes.

Presumably in response to Seven and Nine moving back into late news over the past couple of years, though neither appears to have a fixed slot.

Seven's The Latest seems to be the more bespoke of the two efforts - while Nine's effort feels more like a succession of live or as-live crosses.

IIRC, Nine's late news is usually broadcast from Perth, but on Thursday nights, it originates from the NBN studios in Newcastle.

8 months later, they are changing the look again tonight, coinciding with the debut of a new set, which they are keeping under wraps, and a Presidential interview:

Their website has already the new, simpler logo:

Here's the new look and set for Chile's TVN...

24 Central (primetime):
youtu.be

24 AM (morning):
youtu.be

24 Tarde (lunchtime):
youtu.be

Medianoche, the late night bulletin, was finally unified as 24 Noche:
up.metropol247.co.uk

Pretty TVNZ on the rounded lower thirds, while the main symbol looks VRT-like.

And this is the new Jutro open (apologies for the loss of quality in advance - I have to compress it to get it through Metropol!):
