I find it a bit unfair that irish citizens weren't allowed to apply this year. Channel 5 allowed it, so did Channel 4. Why not itv?

I think you must mean ROI residents. Yinrun isn’t a British citizen and she was allowed to apply, so I would imagine anyone from the Republic of Ireland resident in the UK could apply.

Was brian residing in the uk when he did the show? It's a shame because the uk version also acted as ireland's version too.

On another note. I do not like the remixed theme. I hope they bring the old one back next year. The old theme is a better fit.

They can’t unfortunately, because ITV didn’t have the rights to secure it. That’s why Paul Oakenfold and Dale Corderoy remixed it for 2023. 

Maybe Paul and Dale can re-remix it in line with the mid-2004-2018 version.

I must say when that video was released I was expecting the graphics we got to be a lot more sleeker because of it. Seems fresher than what we have now.

I get the feeling ITV will annoy the long term fans and keep the same overall look and feel of the series permanently, maybe just changing the very centre of the eye, rather than each series having a completely different look

It seems to be the trend to establish long term brands that stick around these days
