As you say, it's mainly international football now where they're paranoid about an automation failure or similar leading to them cutting away from the footage in play.
Yes I think the system is called invisidot.

Invisidot is now being phased out as the company that made the hardware has discontinued it. I'm told it's being replaced by tones on embedded audio tracks.

The original Invisidot inserted OP47 data in the VANC of the SDI stream, using off-the-shelf kit from Axon. The encoders were loaned out to studios and OB facilities providing live programmes, but after several years of being shipped around the country were starting to get a bit flaky and I think the pool of working units was getting down to single figures.
I think EVS still make an OP47 inserter card, but ITV have gone down the route of commissioning Invisidot 2. It's a custom bit of kit that generates an audio tone that sounds not dissimilar to the Audio Description signalling tone or LTC (in fact it wouldn't surprise me if it was the same kind of encoding) and is embedded on one of the higher tracks of the distribution feed.
Here's a little bit of spiel from the manufacturer:

At long last
It made no sense to have the multilayered logo

It does need standardising all the corporate sites have different variations, multi-layered, single colour.
On screen I think the multi-layered 5 part logo has gone from everywhere apart from ITV Weather who seem to be using it as their thing now, even down to still colour matching.

Looks like we can expect some logo updates. The main ITV logo has been changed to a yellow blue gradient.

I don't know, the group logo seems to be a gradient of the individual services logos - unless a subtle gradient within the shades of the service replaces the solid block colour, I don't think it's going to be a massive change - one that's barely noticeable, it says 'refreshed' not 'new'.

Looks very nice and pretty in my opinion. Hopefully ITV will start using this version of the logo on their social media pages as I'm not too keen on the white text and black background used over there.

part of it is reminiscent of the 2015 ITV2 logo
