Wasn’t there one with a BBC ONE Wales box and a BBC NIL England box or something similar.

There also was some in the Circles era. Nothing worthy in the Chamaelon era yet.

At the risk of sounding pedantic, they’re definitely not shamrocks on the BBC Two sting. They appear to be standard white clover leaves.

Wasn't it Channel 4/E4 that ended up doing special, albeit spoof, versions of some of the Dancing idents?

Other pedants may say otherwise

Fair enough.
Although I’d still argue the ‘wood sorrel’ variety with the heart shaped leaves is almost universally used as the symbol associated with St Patrick’s Day and Ireland.

Not just E4 but yes

This video can only be viewed on
YouTube.
And I'm not sure if this really counts as a parody as it was used as the BBC One ident into Comic Relief

I forgotten about the bbc won set they did for the rugby. Thinking about it they also had the one for st davids say when they had the children dressed up and lined up outside. Did look a little bit like a school fire drill!
The E4! Spoofs were funny. I loved acrobatty (I’m sure that’s what they called it).
Although not used as proper idents like the comic relief ones French and Saunders did two as part of one of their shows. The opening they did the silks and the end they were in the salsa hall on mobility scooters.
Just a ident loving pres.fan from the East of England
