The EFL have released a statement regarding the FA Cup. I think they are basically saying they had initial discussions in September, but they weren't formally consulted after that, with the final decision involving only the Premier League and the FA. Their members on the Professional Game Board apparently couldn't do anything and it's not their role to evaluate competition format changes.
They don't call for anything else to be done, just for a better relationship and financial relationship between the Premier League & FA and the lower echelons.

Downing Street have commented, but surprisingly have not joined the populist opinion of the masses, and instead sit on the fence.

What a complete mess.
The new Champions League format was agreed almost three years ago to the day, and English football messily addresses the issue three months before it begins.

It’s obviously been a while since I’ve seen an away European match. But yesterday the presumably French host broadcaster showed zero shots of the away fans. I don’t know if this is to do with the betting sponsor being banned as they are in Europe meaningly the club are advertising a local hospice or due it being a particularly partisan broadcast. If it’s the latter, I’m surprised UEFA allow it. There wasn’t even a wider shot I noticed of a group of Villa fans. I’m sure these shots often aren’t live so I’m sure they could have got some without the sponsor being visible.

2010 World Champion Neil Robertson will join the BBC team at the World Snooker Championship after sadly failing to qualify. The event's loss is the viewers' gain I guess.

So the first changes to be seen at Premier Sports - new presentation in use (Premier Ireland had been using the same presentation throughout the Viaplay era) with a new ident and promo endboards.
The Premier Sports Ireland X account has woken up after a long slumber, though mostly reposting what the Premier Sports UK account has been posting.
Ulster v Cardiff got the same studio coverage in the UK and Ireland with Graham Little, so it seems the days of Premier and what was Viaplay running separate coverage for the same event in studios next door to each other is over.
As of yet the UK and Irish services are still separate, so for example Ulster v Cardiff aired on Premier 1 in Ireland but Premier 2 UK. (Premier 2 Ireland went with LaLiga, whereas Premier 1 UK had the other URC game, Glasgow v Sharks which is only getting delayed coverage in Ireland).

Surprised Premier were in Dublin rather than Belfast. Though, I think they have always been in the studio for matches on Ireland whenever I've seen clips on both Viaplay and Premier Sports this season.
I bet those mic muffs barely needed any dusting.

And funny how the URC socials and website have updated their info to show Premier Sports logos, but still use out-of-date BBC logos...

On the website's fixtures list, only the BBC and S4C logos are displaying as broadcasters on games from the UK at the moment. The transition to Premier not functioning there yet.

I'd say it's the former; it's the same with alcohol advertising, which has been banned from French sports stadia for three decades.

You’d think they’d be able to find a couple of people in the ground with retro shirts on though.

No idea what has happened or what the thought process was for the penalty shoot-out graphic from BBC Scotland.

We also had a system error with a goal scored in extra time credited as 45'+61'. The clock also didn't reset at 90 minutes, unlike network who I think do do that.

The Reith BBC Sport logo is now on a red background on the cardboard hoardings at the Cazoo World Snooker Championships in Sheffield.
Although the logo is not featured on both sides of the arena.
On Table One's side; the BBC Sport logo is stacked & shares a red background with the Triple Crown events logo.
The cardboard hoardings near table Two has the World Snooker Tour logo & Triple Crown Events logo.
Also; Frank Lampard & Pep Guardiola were using old BBC Sport mic muffs during Match of The Day Live at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer & Micah Richards were using the new mic muffs after the game hit full time at Wembley.
