Is Riz Lateef actually going to come back and present some main shifts? You can count on both hands how many pres shifts she's done since the new year.
However the recent work to rule boycott of the 6.30 shows that Asad Ahmad is the other senior presenter who has been presenting Thursdays and Fridays.
On Monday BBC London used freelancers from Breakfast to the main with Angie George on Breakfast and lunch, then Samantha Simmonds on the main with the only BBC staffer being Luxmy Gopal on the late who I think is still on detachment from Look North Yorkshire.

Due to a glitch when switching from national bulletin to London bulletin videowall backgrounds, tonight's Late News started in somewhat of a dark mode after the titles.
It was only fixed during the first package.

Call me crazy but that actually looks ....... okay?
Don't think it would work in any of the regional studios though

I think these pictures show that some better and less cluttered backdrops will make the set look a lot better.
I’ve never been a fan the current studio B design, but I do think if they change the backdrop to something like the Wales Today set, it would look a lot better. Less white and filling the screens entirely with the newsroom
