I didn't say it was an issue, I don't think anybody seriously believes that the colour palette indicates anything. I was just highlighting that there was a very clear period in the 2000s where particularly purple (but also teal and orange) were the go-to colours for political TV branding, especially on the BBC, and that seems to have gone away in recent years.
