Yeah, that fanfare was the 'early 90's' jingle I was talking about. Is there an actual name for that 1992 fanfare, or is it just un-named?
It's actually a rendition of FourScore as you can hear in this clip.

I remember being quite disappointed at the time. Whilst the essence of FourScore was there, it felt like a poor man's version.

Modern Family has moved from Sky Comedy to E4.
Let's hope it finds its audience on E4 so that the the Big Bang Theory spamming decreases, Modern Family deserves it

Appears Channel 4 has a new profile picture... using the 1982 logo. Whether this is in part celebrating Channel 4's birthday or to drum up interest in Channel 4.0 (same colour), I wouldn't know.
A refresh on the cards maybe?

looking on YouTube it’s missing a bit as the profile has the 4 but then .0

I would have thought it's for Channel 4.0 given the colour.
Is it the 1982 logo though? The blocks are certainly tighter together in the original, see
logos.fandom.com . Seems to me to sit somewhere between the current one and the version introduced in 1996 so maybe a change is on the cards.

I checked the TV channel and the on screen logo has also changed back to the 1982 logo! What a nice birthday gift!

Happy 40th birthday to Channel 4!
It looks like the DOG has seen some changes, in particular the HD tag which is bigger than normal. But the 4 logo itself is the original 1982 version - a fitting tribute to it's 40th anniversary!

I can somewhat understand wanting to merge your linear and digital brands - but killing the E4 brand seems baffling to me, it is a strong brand with a strong history at this point. More4 has never really embedded, and 4seven makes no sense when focusing on digital - so those I can see as worthwhile rebrands.
