Is Leeds the next inline for HD upgrades as Norwich has been completed?

Leeds' CSO cupboard has had HD capability for a while, as krs55 explained earlier in the year:

Hope so! Hopefully it's in HD by this time next year. If Leeds is next, then does that only leave Tunbridge Wells, Birmingham, Nottingham and Hull?

Nearly all of the 'Dalek's were replaced circa 2010-2012 with HD capable versions which use DiracHD to send the compressed HD signal across the corporation.

Birmingham's got them into hot water when they stole someone's Flickr image as the background without paying them - theirs was installed in one of the former News edit suite whereas the original one (which moved from Pebble Mill to the Mailbox: flic.kr ) was at the end of the newsroom.

The issue was these were often cropped to 16:9 as the cameras attached to them were 4:3.

But there aren’t headlines at this point – just a simple ‘Thank you, and welcome to Look North’ before the titles. It would seem that they’re possibly recording this and the intro to the first report from the tower screen.

Whether they’re supposed to do that or not, it doesn’t seem an especially complex sequence. So I don’t see why they’d need to pre-record it.
The fact that Amy said “Thanks Reeta” at the start of the late tonight, despite it being Fiona who threw to the regions suggests the opening stood at the tower is pre-recorded

The wall of regions had Amy sat on the sofa, presumably that’s the live feed

Is the weather studio using this technology? previously it would appear upscaled regardless regardless if you were watching from a HD region, now as London Lite has reported it’s in Native HD which would suggest the team are now there sorting out the infrastructure part maybe?

The forecast during Breakfast on NE&C was back to upscaled SD this morning from Leeds.

I hope Leeds is next the picture quality isn’t as good as Hull and Points West looks very good considering it’s upscaled.

Peter Levy said, in quite a funny exchange with Hudson, that they’ve got a big announcement on Monday

Presumably something Children in Need related?

NE&C weather during Breakfast was back in native HD this morning, so I don't know what happened on Thursday.
