So they didn't learn from Philip then. Angry

Learn what? This is what the plan is, you wouldn't expect the BBC to do anything else but  suspend normal programmes. BBC3 and 4 can't simulcast the other channels as there's no bandwidth
Additionally it was only announced less than an hour ago. It's not as if it was announced a day ago, or even first thing this morning.

Reasonable to assume there will be quite a few schedule changes over the next couple days. Almost certainly no HIGNFY tomorrow night.

Does anyone know how QVC or Ideal World shut down? It's normal for shopping channels to close after a royal death but I don't think I've ever actually seen them transition.
Most of the shopping channels have live streams on YouTube that can be rewound up to 12 hours so you have about another 11 hours to have a look at how they have handled it.

Never thought of that. Can't find QVC but I've screencapped a bunch of other ones for posterity.

Saw that - very inappropriate. I think somebody brought it to their attention though because they moved pretty sharpish!
So, in the future, when clips of the announcement are shown, it will have those two twits in it!

I thought Studio E would use darkened blinds and prepared that way?

At around 19:27 there is a slight "tick" on BBC One as the network controllers once again switched from NC Output to Studio E's network TX... It's now tickerless on BBC One:

..and 4 mins later BSL is back on the NC

BSL active again on the NC, so I would assume that's why

Good reason why they should have went to B, could have turned off the newsroom and used a different screen setup.

Breaking news slide from ITV2 spotted again during an ad break.

(Sorry about the weird aspect ratio, not sure what happened there)
