Was that not largely an invention of the Daily Mail? As I recall it was purely an idea dreamed up by an EU taskforce, and would never have led anywhere.
Most probably. Although that didn’t stop the big red ‘Let’s Bring Back British Lunchtimes’ bus in 2016.

Might depend on your work pattern. Or when you become hungry, if you're lucky enough to be that flexible.

An academy secondary school near me goes lunching at 12:25pm. Reception class in a primary school goes for lunch at 11:30 it says here.

When I was at primary school in the mid to late 80s, it was 12pm lunch and back at 1pm. For secondary school it was 12:20pm-1:35pm in the mid 90s. My old schools have since moved the lunch back for primary and split it at secondary, so one block has 12:30-1 and the other 1:30-2. Go figure.

Looks like a tech issue with going to Amanda Houston for the weather tonight… just before the break there was a terrible lip sync delay for her piece, and then after the break straight into the pre-recorded forecast, then another summary of the headlines, presuming a gap filler to make up the time Amanda would have used to chat about the weather.

Lost the link to Lucy on tonight's ITV News. At 7.15 the preview was out of sync, but I assumed these were prerecorded for the short few seconds.
No mention when returned from the break, Lucrezia went straight to a prerecorded one with Amanda, perhaps from ITVX and then went through the headlines with no headline bed. The and finally and slightly long close.

Fantastic work from Mary to have her link into the 'and finally' report tonight on The Gruffalo all in rhyme like the book.

I don't think I'm paying attention these days, as I've only just noticed that the location pictures on NaT's rotating blocks during the intro sequence have changed.

Blimey, when did this happen? Confused

Ex ITV Anglia and ITV London correspondent, Martin Stew seems to have been promoted to the newly created role of ‘Health Correspondent’ alongside Emily Morgan’s new role of ‘Health and Science Editor’. Interviewed as such in studio on tonight’s programmes, but filed his first report other nights Evening News, I think.
