Good spot. In this case, the ident has a fairly short life expectancy, so we can probably forgive them for this.
It's quite a clever "The Capture" take on an existing ident.
Remember the 2006 idents - the logo disappeared behind some of the action on some of those in the original edits. Then, other people come along later, re-edited them, and the logo no longer disappeared.

I wonder if the logo not disappearing might have actually been a deliberate choice on this occasion, given the visual treatment involved. Normally when the graphics disappear it's behind solid objects which have a nicely defined edge. However the particular visual effects added here results in a fuzzy and jittering edge to those same objects. So to try and still have the ONE disappear behind that, you'd either be having to have the edges of the logo jittering too, or have it acting as though it was still against a solid edge - neither of which sounds like would probably work too well.

If the "security camera" effect was added at the end of the process - and was therefore also applied to the BBC blocks, "ONE" and "Subtitles" text - there would've been no issue.
However, think they probably made the right decision to have the channel branding and "Subtitles" text displayed clearly - and not subject to the security camera effect.

That was a clever junction for The Capture. Very well done.

I applaud the effort but is The Capture a drama series worth going to all this effort for? It didn't strike me as an especially good, or high rating, series the first time around.

Whoever that was behind this should be given a raise - clearly something we normally would not see in a junction.
