New year, new titles

Though with the same driver line-up as the end of last year, very much a game of spot the difference.

No (C) Formula One World Championship Limited 2024 at the end, unlike last year.

They look kind of cheaper this year. Last year the shots have a better sync with the music, the screen studio wasn´t flat so it was better used for transitions, and the drivers didn´t look like robots with multiple shots of them and different poses.
Plus the colour of the text clash with the background.

The only good thing: the transition at the end between the F1 logo and the race presentation.

This somehow works brilliantly! A Gladiators x F1 titles mash up

No major changes to the race broadcast (same graphics, directing, race result etc.). The full race result graphic is now played before the podium interviews, whilst last year it was aired after the podium celebrations.

The race quality will have to improve soon or viewing figures will surely start to drop off (they were quite resillient in the UK last year).

Another edit of the F1 intro, with a peice of music that is sadly absent from UK F1 coverage thsese days.

And behind-the-scenes of the intro recording. Surprised it's not all green screen (or blue screen).

Every session of the female development series F1 Academy will be live on YouTube this season, following extermely limited coverage in its debut season last year.

Formula E reporter Nicki Shields will lead commentary. Hopefully this use of a female commentator on a female-only series works better than the first season of W Series.

Nicki Shields is a much more accomplished broadcaster than Claire Cottingham who - with all respect - was completely out of her depth.

It's much better if you can do it infront of an LED screen, as you then have the colours of the actual content washing onto the person. Same with how they do The Mandalorian, though this is far simpler as the graphics don't move with the actors.
