He literally said at the end of last week's show that they're not on next week "because of Children in Need", but it's not like it is even studio related since the charity appeals moved to Manchester.

Judging by the preview last night on the One Show, once again minimal/no changes have been made to the CIN set ahead of this year's appeal show tonight

Are there any regional Opt In's this year or the choir live link up? Or is that all dead still

There's a line in this press release that there will be an update on the night from Northern Ireland, so presumably that means there is some sort of opt, whether that is only for the nations or for the regions as well. Also, note the use of the singular rather than the plural when mentioning the update.

What a weirdly cut bit of video. Had to double check it was their official Twitter feed then.

BBC Scotland doing an additional one-hour show on the BBC Scotland channel at 22:00 hosted by Jackie Bird.

I saw the set on Blue Peter and honestly I'm surprised there's no noticable changes, i thought they'd at least change the graphics with the new Pudsey.
Who's betting they're gonna use the same decade-or-so old Pudsey animations?

They don't even do regional opt out's anymore, just national ones so why would the set get any money spent on it. It's a very sad shell of it's past self.

They're never gonna get rid of them are they?

That Pudsey Bear standing in front of the audience seating looks very scrawny, especially if you've just seen a healthy specimen on your regional news magazine.

Makes a nice change to start with something other than a pop act but a shame it's something recorded.
