Well because so many broadcasters use the swirling red globes and beeps now. Which was started by the BBC. Its now time, IMO to change it. Set the next trend that everyone will follow. Because now their look is lost in sea of red swirling globes....in the world of presentation.

There was a general election in the province of Manitoba, Canada last night. Every major TV station in Manitoba (CBC, CTV, Global, Radio-Canada) did rolling election coverage all night. Citytv Winnipeg began their coverage at 10 PM after network programming, but they were still in the mix as Elections Manitoba was having problems sending results out to everyone until around 9:45 PM local time.

That doesn't seem as slick as the others - actually looks like things perhaps went a bit wrong.

Probably because they had a case of the first programme jitters, but surely programmes after the first will be more polished.
It always happens on live TV, some things are bound to not go as planned.

I was just confused about the guest sat in jeans on a podium seemingly staring down at the presenter. (the reflection in the black floor made the podium seem higher) What an odd studio arrangement. Really strange. I was distracting.

New intros have debuted for Tagesschau24 in Germany.
Could be a sign that all of Das Erste's news programmes is about to get a new look.
