Editor Cait Fitzsimons is stepping down, according to Press Gazette:
Quote:Fitzsimons told Press Gazette’s Future of Media Explained podcast it felt like the programme [5 News] was on a “really positive upward trajectory” since [Dan] Walker’s arrival. That is despite, she said, the busy news and sports year of 2022 being “quite a challenging year for us in viewing figures because, being on at 5pm, sometimes things can clash and the events can pull people away from the programmes”.
Fitzsimons, a former Sky News, ITV News and 5 News programme editor before she became deputy editor then editor, also this year helped producer ITN to secure a new five-year contract with Paramount-owned Channel 5. She will leave later this year and the search for her successor will begin soon.
Daniel Pearl, commissioning editor for unscripted at Paramount+ and Channel 5, said: “5 News has changed dramatically during her editorship, relaunching as an hour with Dan and Claudia-Liza at the helm, and Cait is leaving the programme in superb shape for the future. We will all miss Cait but wish her the very best for her next chapter.”

Not quite 5 News, but looking at next week’s schedules, Jeremy Vine will be on air until 1:45pm, with Nick Ferrari hosting the extra hour.

So 5 News at Lunchtime is integrated into Jeremy Vine Extra with the presenter in the area where Storm Huntley usually does her health segments.
At a guess, when the set is recast, that's where they usually do the stand up positions by the video wall during the 5pm bulletin?

It seems the extension to the Jeremy Vine programme appears to be more permanent from Monday as it will be on from 9:15am to 1:40pm, but rather than it being listed and promoted as just Jeremy Vine, it’s scheduled as Jeremy Vine from 9:15 to 11:15, Storm Huntley from 11:15 to 12:15, and Alexis Conran from 12:15 to 1:40.
