Compared to what Talk TV and GB News pump out in daytime, this was a much more professional set-up.

Agree - there is clearly a bit of effort being put into this as they've given them both different set pieces.. wasn't Jeremy Vine Extra just using the same set up but replacing Jeremy with Storm?

I notice the wording online around this from Storm & Alexis mentions 'for the summer months', so I can only presume this is a trial before decided whether it is worth doing on a more permanent basis. If so, I can imagine they'll want to come up with a master brand for social media etc, as it jars a little bit having differently branded show but still asking people to tweet in to '@JeremyVineOn5'... plus Storm/Alexis mentioned their own name as a hashtag but it still shows Jeremy Vine on screen.

Storm's desk is too small, I think it would be better if they either give her a slightly longer desk or just use the one that Alexis Conran uses.

I think it would be good to make each segment have their own USP, Jeremy should be news and debate, Storm perhaps Health and Wellbeing and Alexis Consumer advice and tips and tricks.

I can't imagine it's costing that much to Channel 5, gottago mentioned years ago on the blue place that the tender for what was The Wright Stuff was £14,000 per episode so even with cost increases it's still extremely cheap to make.

Alexis has the best desk in my opinion, his show works the best out of his and Storm's presentation wise.

Interesting that Channel 5 have confirmed that the Jeremy Vine (plus Storm/Alexis) Show & 5 News will no longer be available on My 5..

I can only presume that it's quite a hassle to get these live shows on My 5, and the numbers just weren't there?

Quote:A spokesperson for the broadcaster said: "From the beginning of May 2023 onwards, The Jeremy Vine show (including Storm Huntley and Alexis Conran) will no longer be available on My5, Sky and Virgin Media via catch-up.

No it’s not, at worse it’s annoying or disappointing.

I apologise to everyone, being a big fan of the Jeremy Vine show it was just a moment where I couldn't control my anger

It's reassuring that you care about your favourite shows. I personally don't want JV (or much of Channel 5) but I have listened to him on Radio 2 (someone else's car radio) and he is a good presenter. Keep your passion Roger but a bit of control is as good.

Neither did I but I suppose they're emulating BBC, ITV and C4
