Struggling with the double female presenter format at the moment when Dan is off. Nothing against two women doing it, but- with Claudia Liza and Tessa- it really lacks personality. Much better when it’s a male and female duo.

Using graphics from the BBC News website seems to happen a fair bit on Jeremy Vine / the other named shows throughout the morning on Channel 5. Alexis had one printed out on a massive bit of card a few weeks ago to demonstrate mortgage rises.

Every news programme obviously seems to let staff have most of August off, but feels like there’s no one left on 5 News! Down to one presenter too although Julian who has done most of this week (and Dan when he does it) seem to be the only ones who can pull it off with aplomb. It is a very very long hour in other hands

There's a piece in Popbitch this week regarding a main presenter being taken off air after filing a grievance over a toxic work environment, which may go some way to explaining the shortage.
