What did I say:
1. New Doctor Who is announced prior to or just after one of the new specials, with them starting in 2023 for the anniversary.
Ncuti Gatwa was announced 8th May 2022, between the Easter and Centenary Special.

2. Rather than speculating about if they will, but I predict BBC One's new idents to bring back a central symbol. Whatever that may be, I don't know. Hopefully a Globe.
BBC One Lens isn't a symbol, but looks good.

3. Holby City's replacement won't last the year.
Not heard about it.

4. Talk TV's launch will be like GB News', except it will have better studios, equipment, and will be less focused on the 'Woke patrol'
Wrong.

5. GB News will have a failed relaunch, and will die, presumably by the end of 2022, maybe into 2023, I don't know.
Again, wrong. But could go into 2023.

6. ITV 2 and ITVBe will merge into one channel, while ITV's 3 and 4 will become the new Encore, and Action
They didn't.

7. Channel 4 won't celebrate their 40th.
They didn't celebrate per se, but did have special programming, and they did celebrate 40 years of The Snowman. But not the channel.

8. The Sky Puck will be launched, and basically be the new MultiRoom, alongside Glass.
Sky Stream is a better name than Puck, but I was right.

9. Peacock will eventually be a paid extra, on top of your Sky Package.
Still a freebie for Sky customers, so I was wrong there.

10. The BBC News Relaunch will see a huge shake up of presenters, with Huw Edwards becoming the David Dimbleby of the BBC, and Andrew Marr's former slot basically become more integrated with BBC News Channel.
Relaunch hasn't happened yet, but Huw Edwards is now the new Dimbleby.

11. BBC News broadcasts its bulletins from each of the Nation's headquarters (Breakfast in Salford as usual, but News at One in Cardiff, News at Six in Glasgow, and News at Ten in London)
Not happened

12. David Icke returns to TV.
That was a bit of fun.

13. Not a nice speculation, but should Queen Elizabeth II pass away during the year, expect the coverage of that to be twice as long and ten times as controversial.
She actually did pass away, and the coverage was actually quite proportional to the nation's grief. Though Channel 5's airing of The Emoji Movie was controversial.

14. ITV becomes regionalised again, and all the pre-1999 brands are revived. And then we all wake up and realise it was a dream.
It was a dream.

As for 2023, from least to most out there:

1. The Coronation of Charles III will probably be in May or June, and the BBC coverage will be the most watched. ITV and Sky News will air it, but Channels 4 and 5 won't bother airing it.

2. Channel 4's new idents will follow the news safe ident they have, in having the full 4 symbol back. Expect them to come alongside the full scale rebrand of Channel 4 under a single name, probably late in 2023.

3. BBC News, as a whole, will get new graphics that better suit the new studio introduced in 2022. The red will stay, but may have some extra colour (hopefully blue, maybe some orange or yellow). The BBC blocks symbol will feature more heavily.

4. We will finally get BBC One HD Regions, with no more red screen.

5. I'm in agreement with @Cable. Sky's HD Package will become standard, and not cost extra.

6. ITV News FAST channel gets launched on ITV X, and will include some exclusive programming, but mainly be without presenters, just reports, some weather graphics to break things up, and maybe extended Lunchtime and News at Ten programmes. ITVX itself will be ITV's main priority, over its channels.

7. CITV gets rebranded, but keeps the logo its had for a decade, albeit with the new font.

8. Sky announces that it will lose the rights to air first run episodes of new seasons of The Simpson from Season 36 onwards. Instead, the new stuff airs on Disney+, and Sky gets it after 6 months-1 year of exclusivity. This also affects Channel 4's FTA rights.

9. Freeview and Freesat rebrand to show they're part of the same service.

10. GB News closes.

11. UKTV will fully move Free to Air.

12. Big Brother's relaunch on ITV 2 will start off with high ratings, but many older fans will be put off by the inclusion of Influencers, Z List online Celebrities, and the Love Island aesthetic.

Sky to axe SD slots except for Pick, Challenge and Replay which allows them to have HD as standard on Sky Signature. Sky News will go FTA in HD to compensate for the lack of SD and launch on Freesat. No change to Sky News on DTT in the UK and Ireland which will stay in SD.

UKTV will launch Eden on Freeview and Freesat in SD which in turn will launch on UKTV Play with VOD in HD, while keeping Gold and Alibi behind the paywall. This allows UKTV to earn ad revenue from the BBC Studios wildlife back catalogue.

That's TV will simulcast GB News on the LCN 7/8 slots except for the local news bulletin, but keep the national That's TV slots for the current format of archive shows and music videos.

GB News and Talk TV will survive the year based on their ideological policies but will continue to lose money.

The upgrade and tweaks to regionalise Freeview HD in England and the Channel Islands is a success, although BBC One regional studios will take much longer to upgrade. BBC One Midlands won't be upgraded while they're in The Mailbox until 2026 when they move.

ITV Border Scotland will launch in HD on Freeview only while Channel continues to be left with SD on all platforms.

Graphics refresh to ITV News to match the current ITVX branding, but keeps the existing virtual set.

HLN rebrands to reflect that it's largely a documentary/true crime channel with a tick box CNN/US simulcast.

The BBC News/World merger is a disaster and the BBC quickly act to add more UK-centric rolling news.

It was announced somewhere that Sky have renewed their satellite leases until 2027 I think it was, so the suggestion earlier in the thread about Sky dropping that and pushing Sky Stream or Signature as their "lead" is a non starter until then at the earliest.

Honestly don’t think much will happen this year. I think BBC News will still look broadly the same (I’m still not convinced this “rebrand” is happening) and ITV News might get a bit of a tweak. Maybe a Channel 4 refresh.

A few predictions...

Following on from upgrading BBC One regions to HD on Freesat BBC announce plans to convert PSB1 to DVB-T2, designed for nations rather than regions (which PSB3 does).

BBC One, Two and Parliament SD then move onto PSB2 to allow those without Freeview HD to access some BBC channels. In return ITV2/3/4 move onto the upgraded PSB1 as HD channels.

Sky announce plans to axe most Sky Cinema channels, citing increased use of Sky Store.

BBC News Channel and BBC World News merger goes ahead, with channels operating under the same name. Proposed changes to overnights go ahead, with it broadcasting from their Singapore & USA studios instead of London. Daytime services remain as present after last minute reprieve.

Oldest BBC regional studios (e.g. Look East) get an upgrade to set and equipment to be of a HD quality.

Piers Morgan will continue to periodically post highly selective statistics about his show's ratings.

Formerly 'Charlie Wells' of TV Forum.

So now all I need is for Channels 4 and 5 to not show the coronation

Well that in itself wouldn’t be a very impressive prediction. I don’t think there is any expectation that either channel will show it.
