Thats more likely to allow access to the content for those who use a version of the app which does not support profiles.

I have just bought the single series of 'The Prisoner' on ITVX for less than the price of a coffee on the way to work. 

Even though it's from the 1960s, it has a delicious old ITV Global logo from 10 years ago. I have a busy day off binge-watching this

The funny thing is, there's an itvx kids fast channel, but as of now, only citv is available on the kids profile.

They have sorted out the FAST channels under the live section with CITV/ITVXKIDS/LEGO all appearing.

The ITVX app has managed to annoy me because a) it was painfully slow and unresponsive, and b) it was adamant what I wanted to see wasn't there. And I knew it was, considering it was an ITVX exclusive show.

I was after the Alan Carr show on ITVX. Could I find it by searching for Alan Carr? Could I heck. I had to go and find out what it was called on a Google search and search for the name of the show, Changing Ends. Considering Carr is the big name for that show, you'd have thought if you searched for him it would have shown up.

However in defence of ITVX, Amazon search on the Firestick was adamant the show didn't exist either however I searched, so I suspect its probably more of a metadata issue on that platform. The iPlayer was the same for a while if you used Amazon search as it and it was blind to that entire catalogue for a while.

Yeah ITVX should be called "XXXX" My father has been trying to watch "Midsomer Murders" on Sky Q and it plays the first 10-15 minutes of an episode and then an error message flags up.
