Well, this is a shame. I was quite enjoying it, such a feel good retro show!! Maybe folks actually do go out more on Saturday nights these days? I hope it does return in a more appropriate prime-time timeslot and also, that it isn't renamed or shortened.

Why would they rename Challenge Anneka? It's not some throwaway factual programme.

I can't see how repeated Royal documentaries will stop people rushing out to bars & pubs to watch these programmes instead on Saturday night?

It'll rate better for one. As I've said, Challenge Anneka lost half its audience from a fairly low bar.
I see this thread is having a pop at Channel 5 again, some things never change...

Anneka Rice mentioned that Challenge Anneka was on a floating schedule so it seems that talent and indies are aware that a show might get pulled if it doesn't perform.
