A repeat replacing a repeat, not sure it'll do much against SNT though,

In that case they might as well show the testcard for 90 minutes then.

Wasn't it a new series? Either way, couldn't ask for more from the BBC. Throwing some kind of dedication slide after a Bradley Walsh episode wouldn't have quite cut it.

No it was a repeat of the series that ran last Autumn so the BBC can get away with replacing it with the Lily Savage Blankety Blank as it was down as a repeat anyway.

Similar to what happened with The Chase yesterday.

Channel 5 now showing Paul O'Grady: 40 Years of Laughter & More instead of a royal doc which laughably was to be shown instead of Challenge Anneka.

A great call there by the BBC.
I guess it will be one of the original BBC Lily Savage Blankety Blanks rather than the ITV episodes that are currently being shown on Challenge on Sunday afternoons? If so, then it wouldn't have been shown for a long time. I did prefer the BBC version.

I'm not sure the BBC Lily Savage ones have been shown since the original broadcast, I've only ever seen them show the ITV ones on Challenge.

It’s the final episode of the first BBC Lily Savage series that they showing.

On wiki the last half of the final Lily ITV series is marked as unaired Do Challenge show those episodes?

Was the BBC version an independent production or a BBC production? It would be interesting to know how it ended up moving to ITV with the host on board too. If it was an independent it's easy to see how they just moved for more money, but if it was a BBC production I'm guessing ITV or an independent company had to swoop in for the format rights (is Match Game in the US the original?)

Obviously were other shows in the 90s which switched from ITV to the BBC too, notably This is Your Life and Through the Keyhole.
