No sports centre - but still the same
Number of pictures on display - how?

Also looks like more of them have studio B style backdrops than I’ve seen before - am I making that up?

Kirsty on newsnight also had t quite startled yet when he trailed her - so I think it could have cut much better!

Looks like they repeated South Today in spot which the sports centre had been...

ABR running with funny graphics on World feed at 23:30 BST, using red-free BBC News logo and no ticker.

When they were BBC World News, this was the way the channel identity was shown during documentaries.

UPD. Minimalistic tickerless logo continued into Sportsday, and - when all other lower thirds are absent - it looks pretty sleek.

Tickers don’t phase me too much, but during recorded slots a white logo like that should be the only graphic on the screen. To me a ticker suggests live rolling tv.

Ironic that Louise Lear jokingly said “you don’t care about Thursday do you?” before abruptly cutting into the filler countdown to join Newsnight.

During 0030-0100 World feed again had minimalistic ticker-less lower thirds while UK feed had the usual red logo and the ticker with the website... that suddenly went active during Sportsday!

Strange that they are still running two separate systems for the lower graphics. Would have thought they would have a single output with the UK version having the clock added.

Compared to what we have had for the past past month what have the cost savings been since Monday?

Wow, at 1am BST Newsday was replaced by DC and Sumi - as Trump is about to speak in the next hour.

Katty Kay and one member of the panel (who formerly worked in Trump's team) are in the studio, a couple of other pundits and two correspondents (Michelle Fleury in NY and Barbara Plett Usher at Mar-a-Lago) are DTL.

UPD. Wow again, the BBC decided to cut away from Trump's speech at 01:35 UKT and do a panel discussion instead.
Whether it was because he reiterated his election claims, or just because he shifted away from giving commentary on his case to his rally speech, is up to the viewer to guess. Nevertheless, discussing Trump's speech while this very speech continues, looks a bit weird to me.
Trump, actually, returned later to commenting the case and added a couple of words about the judge and his family.

May be they also want the World feed to have various clocks in the ticker as well (like Washington 05:20 Sydney 19:20 etc.) which is a bit irrelevant to the UK. Nevertheless, they still have not done it as the ticker is largely defunct now.

BTW, ticker after 1am is again showing the website address.

The US newsreader threw to the conference by saying it was the first time he was appearing since pleading *guilty* to 34 charges.

He pleaded not guilty.

He pleaded not guilty.

Mark Austin kept saying he was guilty on Sky News as well earlier this evening.
