With the increased pacing of stories on the new channel its main reason d’etre is somewhat removed. I suspect they’re leaving it there so it pulls in stories from the website eventually.
WN has been doing this for at least 8 years. I hope the UK audience will have fun with the BBC's embarrassing headlines.
"The secret that fuels Metallica? Earl Grey tea", "Eurovision hits revisited in A Thong For Europe", "'My intricate nail designs were stolen by Shein'". These are actual stories on the website. And some similar to these have appeared on the WN ticker for the world to see.
It's not just WN that went downhill in recent years. The website too.
The pacing of stories during the 7pm UKT hour and The Context is pretty slow as they cover very few stories so a ticker that works and isn't filled with non-news would be great. Especially for The Context as some of the few stories they do choose to cover make you wonder if an international audience really need to know and if they really need pundits talking about them for 20 minutes each.

The NEWS isn’t in red though and it’s too close to the bbc logo, it’s back to the red patch bbc news titles now.

Worth saying NEWS isn't supposed to be separately in red. Studio B monitors have it all black, stings have it all red
Should be one or the other

Previously the presenters were holding a remote clicker while presenting because they axed autocue operators in the gallery...
Lucy Grey has been using this controller on Saturday.

Yes I know it’s Easter Sunday but I’m sure they even used studio B on Boxing Day last year
And the EPG title has been renamed (again) to
BBC News and Weather after six days of
BBC News.
Before mid 2022 all weekday bulletins were with One, Six and Ten branding on the EPG, meanwhile the weekend newscasts were titled
BBC News.

Blurry titles with grey location names are used on BBC1 bulletins. Lucy Hockings’s programme and the newscasts from DC are using the blurry ones.

The monitors have had it black and red since last week. The sting starts with the blocks black and News red.

Would this be technically feasible?
As someone I work with once told me, anything is technically possible but the problem is the effort required to achieve it. However I don't think it's something the BBC want to do.
What they should be doing, however, is sticking with the global channel when there is breaking news of an international nature instead of BBC1/2 simulcasts.
Totally agree with the idea of leaving the channel alone during the bulletins.
The only reason (beyond policy) that they might not want to do it is sports bulletins, sports right are hideously complex and I suspect there is content you can’t show in the uk or globally.
I’ve seen them do a live top/tail in sport, but the middle seemed to be recorded. I assume that was for the domestic feed where the BBC has different rights/rules.
So while I think the idea of “just leave global” on is a sound one, if you need to do special stuff for sports bulletins, that’s a cost they might want to avoid, if it’s about cost savings
So yeah. Talk Tv light, 1/6/10 and newsnight are the result.
