That might explain why there was no late regional news last night after the national was moved to 10:45pm.

Ah, I never thought of that. That'll be why there was no late bulletins from the Nations & Regions last night after the delayed Ten.

Did all regions end linking straight into the national news from the regional/nation programme?

Might have been an idea for Sophie to introduce the first report from the Tower. The national titles only are slightly too short.

That was funny watching Sophie scurrying back to the desk as the titles finished.  Big Grin

They could have let Sophie do the headline sequence sitting at the desk or (as m_in_m said) do the first link from the tower Big Grin

Yes it did here in the East Midlands.

I know she wouldn't be able to thank each region individually but they could have got Sophie to say something like "thanks all" at the start, the same way the regions usually thank her and other presenters.

Quite smoothly done (apart from the scurry to the desk!).

Shame the regions couldn’t have had Sophie staring into the distance on their big screens for them to hand to her and turn the tables 😆

BBC London ended with the presenter promoting the fact that you could hear some expletives on their website. It was an odd thing to promote.

Was BBC London in D tonight?

We could have had the reverse wall and had Sophie say thank you to the wall and start the headlines.

In the South West the presenter announced that the national news would follow, but then had the normal closing sequence with music and copyright notice. I guess from the comments above that other regions/nations did a 'faux handover'?

There was no CA into the news, just straight to the headline sequence.
