No Nicky Campbell due to the England game being broadcast on 5 live and BBC1 (and the usual BBC1 programmes on BBC2).

 It might have been fixed sooner but that may have been the cleanest opportunity to switch back.

If the only presenting position on the new channel is now just one fixed camera position, what's the point in upgrading studio E? A tower and curved screen could be installed but never used. Maybe this is why, apart from availability of funds, E is still in use and hasn't been upgraded yet, as there's literally no point in upgrading the studio with the new presenting set up of the channel.

Not necessarily. When studio E is upgraded it should have similar AI cameras to studio B. That will lead to more flexibility as those cameras can track and focus on their own, thus they can be run on a skeleton staff.

The problem is not with the cameras, IIRC, it is with the autocue - the News Channel presenters, unlike the national bulletins' ones, now have to operate it on their own either with a remote in their hands or by a pedal under the table.
