BBC News Pres: Apr 2023 - Present (News Channel/BBC One)

The OS format haven't been axed... The packages recorded from the "hostage cam" position ARE supposed to be the explainers pieces in the new OS format. It's just... not noticeable because they're not as good as the one's Ros Atkin makes - sometimes it lacks infographics, sometimes the narration is not as good as Ros~

Are they actually trying to make things look worse each day?

What are the chances of this tweet being a direct reaction to the above comments?...

I don't see a single Ros Atkins explainer on my feed whilst in the latter years of OS, I'd see it being shared and eventually get retweeted to my feed despite not following anyone at BBC News or BBC News itself. What a massive shame.

Perhaps he didn't want to keep doing them.

So they've taken away what works from it and they're now short social media pieces rather than a show in it's own right.

And saw that video earlier on BBC News - should never have passed the threshold to be considered appropriate to reuse by the BBC.

Plus the awful picture quality and the fact ''explainers'' are barely out of high school.

How does this blurry 480p graphic of the BBC Action Line made it on air? It's been on air ever since Friday and nobody bothered to fix it!

Would put a substantial amount of money on it.

Looks like they got it out of an old report, probably no time to create a proper one, they are probably just happy to get anything on the air.
