As a (rather dumb) aside, because TNT is honouring the majority of the existing BT Sport deals, this would mean that this is the first time WWF/WWE programming has aired on a TNT branded channel since their acquisition and subsequent closure of Turner's World Championship Wrestling. And even then, it was effectively this single, 3 minute simulcast to drive viewers towards their slot on TNN (now the Paramount Network), and their latest storyline.

Given the significant animosity between the two organisations, such a thing would probably still be considered unthinkable in the US, but thanks to the wonders of mergers and acquisitions, here we are.

I've been recording some bits of presentation earlier today for preservation to say farewell to BT Sport.

Not sure how accurate this is but the Irish Independent seem have some details about TNT Sports including Ally McCoist joining the team for Premier League coverage and Reshmin Chowdhury being listed as the secondary Champions League presenter. There's even some quotes from Andrew Georgiou but I haven't seen them released anywhere else so just wonder if an embargo has been broken?

I had seen that, and it does read like a PR, and I did wonder if an embargo had been broken.

The bit that makes me cynical though is the notion that TNT will be available via Discovery+ in Ireland - that would seem to be incompatible with their exclusive wholesale deal with Sky, unless that’s been renegotiated.

Funny enough this page has now been deleted which makes me think an embargo was broken.

Not sure if anyone else thinks this, but I reckon an embargo was broken

Super surprised the BT Sport website has hardly any major mentions of the impending rebrand of TNT Sports, besides the banner scrolling down on the page. Granted, tomorrow it'll all just be null and void. Reminds me of the many times TV channels have announced rebrands, but were still accepting members or sending press releases. (i.e: the Plus website, Jetix UK, etc.)
