The World Service is probably the last bastion of Gill Sans
They've only recently changed over the logos on the programme pages on the English service to Reith
Even when they added blocks to them around a year and a half-ish ago they still had Gill Sans blocks
At school they taught me how to be
So pure in thought and word and deed
They didn't quite succeed...

To be honest we're just lucky it wasn't produced in black and white.

This is a bit bizarre…

Does Politics Scotland use the Millbank studio with this backdrop for DTL interviews, or something? Seems very odd otherwise.

There is a specific 'room' at Millbank used for DTLs which consists of nothing more than a chair, a screen and a locked-off camera.
I suspect that this template used for the side walls was just incorrectly selected from the server. It is rather amusing that nobody in the studio noticed, although I confess that I didn't when watching the programme.

Have Politics Scotland used the studio for an entire programme or pre-record in the past, perhaps?

The Wednesday afternoon Politics Scotland programme does often co-present from the Millbank studio.
See the episode from 15/11, about 30 mins in

I find it very odd that they could update the Politics Scotland backdrop in the Millbank studio with the new BBC logo, but not think to update the Politics Live version.
The same goes for the titles – why update regional versions (where they’ve had the new set or HD upgrade) but not the national ones?
I bet the new Politics Live titles and backdrop loop have been made, but are just sitting unused on a server somewhere.

Baffling and sloppy to say the least. This isn't a production endcap, it's a prominent daily live show that should have been prioritised.
Anything news related really should not be mucking around with brand inconsistencies in our climate of rampant, already difficult to identify, misinformation.

I never thought to conflate the BBC using an old logo with the era of misinformation myself. Maybe we could get BBC Verify to keep a check on the Chameleon rollout.
