Fair enough. Although I’d still argue the ‘wood sorrel’ variety with the heart shaped leaves is almost universally used as the symbol associated with St Patrick’s Day and Ireland.

I forgotten about the bbc won set they did for the rugby. Thinking about it they also had the one for st davids say when they had the children dressed up and lined up outside. Did look a little bit like a school fire drill!

The E4! Spoofs were funny. I loved acrobatty (I’m sure that’s what they called it).

Although not used as proper idents like the comic relief ones French and Saunders did two as part of one of their shows. The opening they did the silks and the end they were in the salsa hall on mobility scooters.
