That looks really nice. Why can't the BBC just use one of these agencies instead of making things up at lunchtime using Powerpoint?

Because if they did, the BBC would be criticised by the press for spending loads of money on an external agency, yet if they do it in house, they would be criticised for wasting money on something cheap looking.

And yet they didn’t see a problem with using an external agency to rebrand almost every part of the BBC other than news.

Are the dates here wrong? The Instagram post says it's been 14 years, but if Logopedia is right, it's only been ten.

I thought it had changed then too as the previous look was strongly aligned to the yellow of ITV News at the time.
