ITV (Wider Group) Branding

Okay, what the actual [not good word] is that

...eh, I'll get used to it eventually - I was not expecting something like that

That ITV Be logo

ITV3&4 look alright, the green and purple work well. ITV2 will take getting used to though, pink and blue is a bit ugly in my opinion.

I’ve read that ITN is having a rebrand over the next few months so my guess is they will probably tie it in with this once they’ve had a refresh. I’m guessing they will probably give the studios a bit of a revamp too. Will be good to see a new look though. Think this is one of the longest sets they’ve had in quite a few years.
Can’t wait to see the latest remix of The Awakening lol.

I can’t remember them using a set this long. It’s been a good package but time for a refresh I think. One element I hope they carry over- in the regional news intros, the images of the region and landmarks and that. Hopefully they don’t go for a “one fits all” generic intro.

I think the "1" in ITV1 would have looked better with a horizontal line at the bottom of the typeface. Would sit better with 2.

The more I look, the more it all feels like something seen on the mocks section of the blue place.
The current logos have some personality to them, these new ones just don't sadly. Like all changes, I'd soon get used to them, but usually ITV are great with new design work, but this doesn't give me too much hope right now.

That ITV Be logo

I'm normally a believer in first impressions being everything but like the BBC refresh I think we should reserve complete judgement until we see it on screen with the accompanying branding elements that go along with it. From looking at these logos it's definitely an interesting direction so I'm looking forward to seeing it all come together soon.

Indeed, I can't see much wrong with the logos

That ITV Be logo looks so weird. 4/10, because at least it's the same height as the numerals.

I'm quite astonished at the ITV Be logo. Was this their only option of giving it personality? The whole presentation package in the end is important as brioalex pointed out. We can only judge it fully until the whole body of work can be seen from visuals to idents. 2013 for me, when their present logo launched, remains their best rebrand. Everything felt fresh, organised, human and consistent but with their own distinctive voice to their audience. I just hope ITV gets it right again.

I was a big fan of the 2013 rebrand too! Everything felt coherent, fluid and it really looked like it had a lot of creative thought put into each identity for the different channels. It has become watered down very much recently which is a shame so it’ll hopefully be nice to see some consistency again at least.
