Sky News

Some important context is that the majority of current events media in Australia is incredibly partisan.

An opinion piece about Sky News Australia from a tabloid owned by one of their biggest competitors is going to be leagues less charitable then a segment by The News Agents about GBNews, or TalkRadio about LBC. It's another world of partisanship; to levels UK media still doesn't come close to.

That article tells us nothing much like an article on Sky News' website would tell us nothing about The Sydney Morning Herald or the ABC.

Well, if that's the case then it is even more problem for Sky News Original and Comcast, as obviously NBC is US-based and they clearly have an affiliation with Sky News. this would only add to more confusion about content output. That said, ultra conservatives don't tend to be the most curious in searching for a balanced view, so they may accidentally fall on Sky News and get a more accurate news update than they would had they have landed on Sky News Australia.

But realistically, Sky News Australia just needs to be renamed.

The main studio at Westminster appears to be making progress. On Wednesday and Thursday's Politics Hub, the LED screen in the main studio was visible again in the background through the glass. It's been off for the last month. I suspect the studio will be ready for the local elections in May.

Hopefully this means that the striped frosted glass will be removed or replaced soon. It looks terrible.

The frosted ‘glass’ (stickers, I presume) are the one negative of the Westminster newsroom set for me. It looks vile and ensures Mhari’s (and others who take that position) positions are bleak and miserable. The single dropped ball of the new set.

I didn't realize she had been freelancing for a few months now, but what a treat to see Barbara Serra presenting the late shift and press preview tonight. She was always one of my favorites at the Al Jazeera London hub, so it's great to see her on television again.

Oh wow I love it, combining elements of both the old and temporary Millbank sets

The desk looks like a permanent fixture this time around, but I see there's plenty of room for Kay to start walking around again at some point

Ready in plenty of time for the local elections in exactly a month

Isn't that basically the same as the old studio? Just another boring desk and screen combination. Hope the far superior newsroom studio isn't now ditched.

Literally nothing there, just a screen. No other elements. So lazy.

Hopefully thats not the place any GE coverage will be coming from, massive downgrade from 2019 if so. For the locals it is fine.
