Sky News

Glad they found some chairs. Baffles me why they persist with the website scrolling TOTH opener though.

Which is what they are, after 7 am. Still, they got a lot of airtime, Kay was generous, at least on day 1. Wilfred Frost appeared only once though, from the glass box, to give a preview of what's coming up in his slot, which was the same stuff they covered anyway. If this is all he'll be doing, it's strange he's part of the promotional material.

The set looks and feels great and I like the positions and the fact everyone is sitting. I'd rather have real office space around them than big screens with graphics.

To me its not that impressive. They've had far superior newsroom sets in the past. It just looks like a corner of any normal office.

It’s so unlike Sky News to have a completely underwhelming relaunch.

Getting travel agents vibes from that set.

Feels like they could've just got away with just Gareth and Mhari presenting for the full programme because it then does just become the Kay Burley show after 7am, but I suppose if Kay is ever off, that could happen

Apple store circa 2012, recreated by B&M Bargains sticky back plastic kitchen unit renovation kit.

Using identical wood tones as wall, desk and floor elements is a very odd choice

Here's a supercut of different angles, presenting areas, etc.

I’ll second the comment from above that I’m not sure what Wilfred Frost’s role in this breakfast show is… From what we’ve seen today, he doesn’t have one? If a preview during one programme for the upcoming one means you’re part of the preceding show, then Tom Bradby can probably count himself as part of the Coronation Street cast on some nights at least.

I was expecting that Gareth may have finished at 9am, and Wilfred filled his role during the last hour.

To be fair the Press conference from Manchester probably changed the running order in the 8am and 9am hours somewhat so Wilfreds role was likely to be seen in those hours more than others.
