I think there will be, there appears to be some electrics being fitted based on the view this morning behind Wilfred.

I mean it looks like she’s sat in a random office but ok. Not really sure this is an improvement on anything.

I agree, I’m not sure it’s the most amazing background. The lighting isn’t great, where’s the backlight?

Is there even a desk in there yet? Admittedly it does look unfinished, seems a bit odd to start presenting there before it’s ready.

That’s not electrics being fitted. The screen grab isn’t very clear but it’s a pillar with RTS awards on display.

I thought it was electrics this morning too but now that you say what it is it makes sense. That column didn't look good on screen with Wilfred this morning

Yes kinda of a strange choice to begin broadcasting from there. But likely bigger plans are at play. So it seems stop-gappy or something. But hopefully it will get some kinda of set dressing like the new Westminster newsroom. Agreed anything is better than the previous location. But this needs some help. Presentation-wise the channel is starting to feel slightly bi-polar. Some of the dayparts looks so much better, but then we get these odd (admittedly better) presentation locations.

Anyone notice how the Westminster shows show the entrance gates to the office?

Additionally why do they always mention The Samaritans after some reports that just maybe mention suicide or assault in passing? I understand it when the story is about suicide but they the tag it if it’s just a passing glance.

The Samaritans' media reporting guidelines for suicide suggest signposting them: www.samaritans.org

Sometimes they won't explicitly mention that someone has taken their own life - perhaps if the cause of death hasn't been confirmed - but will still mention the Samaritans anyway if it could be inferred that it was suicide.

I wouldn't expect them to be mentioned in the case of an assault.
