If you mean used for GE-related stuff, that isn't really indicative of whether it'll actually be used for GE coverage. In 2015, the 2010-style 'Pins' were being used throughout the long-campaign (January-March); it was only the start of the short campaign that the Elexagon stuff was fully introduced.

Is Election Night on the BBC still live from Broadcasting House?

I know in the past Elstree was used.

For the UK, yes, but the same style is out there for other elections happening around the world this year.

Better late than never, the BBC press release on the coverage of today's elections. Laura Kuennessberg, Chris Mason and Reeta Chakrabati hosting overnight,no names mentioned for Friday daytime.

Rachel Burden and Nick Robinson hosting the overnight radio coverage.

Yes, all from BH. Elstree is no longer used and is soon being sold

Do Radio 4 and 5Live usually share election coverage? Makes sense really, then I guess split for Today/Breakfast.

Any signs of increased local radio coverage beyond 2pm tomorrow considering many counts aren't being done till tomorrow or Saturday.

Think they do. I think I remember listenning to Jim Naughtie co-hosting the 2014 European elections results on 5 Live which was a simulcast I think. Not sure if they do for general elections though.

EDIT
The 2017 general election had Jim Naughtie and Carolyn Quinn on Radio 4, and Steven Nolan and Emma Barnett on Radio 5 Live. So as I suspected, it looks like they do their own thing on general election night, but share on lesser occasions.

Is it normal for local news not to mention the elections today?

All they can say is voting has started, closes at 2200 and bring ID so not really a surprise for there to be no mention - albeit good opportunity for lots of footage of dogs at polling stations.
