Ultimately, Jack's BBC F1 contract is with IMG Media, I believe. Presuming the schedule isn't changed, he wasn't down to broadcast in Barcelona anyway (since that would clash with Jakata) but the scorched Earth approach to his social media and website suggests that he's essentially done for the foreseeable future.
Not sure why he would have thought he was untouchable, so to speak, Formula E is a notoriously small group of people in terms of permanent accreditation so someone was going to see something. In addition, they do see themselves as more progressive than the swaggering Briatore/James Hunt vibe of old school motorsport, so an example was going to be made ASAP.
