The full cycling world champs schedule is here:

And the athletics schedule here. Gabby will share hosting duties with Janette - assumed Gabby wouldn't be as thought the World Cup Final was being hosted on location.

Surprised to hear Jimmy Anderson on Sky Sports coverage of the Hundred today especially when he has worked for the BBC the last 2 years on their live cricket coverage and is listed in the BBC Press Pack for the tournament, could he be working for BBC & Sky?
I know nowadays you have some across broadcasters who work across channels for example Ebony Rainford-Brent has been on BBC so far this summer and is now on Sky for the Hundred and Isa Guha has been on Sky for some of the Women's Ashes matches as well as her BBC commitments.

Something that caught my eye on the radio side of things is that Katharine Merry now seems to be the athletics commentator going forward following Mike Costello's departure for DAZN last year.

The way the cricket commentary works with it being such a long event it's quite common for freelance commentators and pundits to work for several broadcasters during the day. It's certainly common to rotate between Sky and Test Match Special and possibly also the broadcasters for the other side's country.

Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek's office said in an emailed statement Thursday that without the support of the province the bid is dead in the water.
"The provincial government's decision to withdraw from Alberta's 2030 Commonwealth Games bid process effectively terminates the bid and the City of Calgary's participation," the statement reads in part.

I hate to say this but it seems the Commonwealth Games are well and truly dying.

I thought Hamilton were bidding for the Centennial Games.
The costs have just spiralled and there isn't an NBC in the Commonwealth to be the games sugar daddy. I doubt the BBC and Aussie broadcaster pay more than £50m between them and that probably barely doubles when the other broadcasters are added in.

The Soccer Saturday set seems to have taken inspiration from the old BT Sport Score set, albeit with all the gaps taken out.

I think now there’s no interest from anyone in hosting a 2030 Commonwealth Games, there’s even less incentive to stage 2026 now which I guess could have acted as a bit of a stop gap before Canada.
The only way I can see it surviving is if they significantly downsized and only staged the most popular and profitable events. A bit more IAAF and a bit less second Olympics. Worth remembering that Victoria were only obliged by the Commonwealth Games to host athletics and swimming, the rest was up to them. Perhaps they should have used that as an invitation to make it much slimmer and affordable.
