The FA Cup fourth round replay TV selections have been announced. In change to normal, the ITV pick is on the main channel (understandable given the teams involved). The BBC tie is very unusual in being an all Championship tie; Nottingham Forest v. Bristol City is the only tie involving sides from two divisions but looks like it has to played on the Wednesday and will clash with Chelsea v. Aston Villa.

Completely agree on both points. The British team is of decent strength as it's the last chance to qualify for the Olympic relays and they haven't done so yet. The American team is of a very little strength; I saw that college swim duels are still ongoing in the US which means many athetes from the US and more will be there instead. This obviously looks like an attempt to make the World Championships annually rather than biennial - for the UK, Europe and Australia the current system works fine with Commonwealths/European Champs in even non-Olympic years.
The European Championships take place in mid June - a far better slot in bringing people into form and is right at the end of the Olympic qualifying period. Like 2022, it is probable the will get better coverage than the World Championships in the UK.

I don't get the logic in FINA demanding a price nobody is willing to pay. Surely the stance ultimately costs them more than accepting less than what they want - and the longer it is off screens they less valuable the product becomes.
